Mystery Blogger Award!

Hi guys, thanks for stopping by! Something exciting happened today: I feel sooo honored to have been nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award by Julia from Fable Hunter, where she blogs about her favorite topic – hunting for books! As a fellow book lover, I enjoy reading up on her latest book experiences very much, so I’m even more flattered to have been nominated by her! Thanks so much, Julia!

If you wonder, like I did, what exactly the Mystery Blogger Award is, here is a short quote from Okoto Enigma, who created the award:

The “Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.
– Okoto Enigma

The rules are as follows:

RULES

  1. Put the award logo/image on your blog
  2. List the rules.
  3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  4. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  6. You have to nominate 10 – 20 people
  7. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  8. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  9. Share a link to your best post(s)

So, here we go, let me think of three things to tell you about myself… Um, one, reading is not only my favorite activity, I get also really really invested with characters and their stories of books I really like, and when I’ve found a book that I’m fangirling over I usually spend a lot of time online to see if others feel the same as me – that’s one of the reasons I created this blog, I wanted to have a space to share my love! Two, I love taking walks. Yeah, I know, this one is not really that interesting, but it is important to me – there is almost no day that I won’t go out for a stroll – I especially love walking in the evening, even in winter when it’s dark and cold outside! And three, I love Christmas. I know many people do, but I REALLY love it, I’m excited for the Christmas season all year round, and begin thinking about it even when last Christmas (*I gave you my heart*) has only been a few days ago…is that weird? Well, I don’t care – it is what it is! 😀

Now onto the five questions from Julia:

1 What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include reading, looking for new books, talking about books, finding fellow readers who love the books in question as much as me, and well, you get the picture – I LOVE books! Other than that, I also love being creative. Crafts, “do-it-yourself”s, painting, drawing – hence, the “artsy” part in my blog name.

2 What is your biggest goal this year?

Hm, that’s a tricky one. I have several! I really want to stay as consistent as I’ve been lately with writing here on my blog, and reading and reviewing as many books as possible. I also want to continue living out the creative side of my, and creating cool and pretty things I can also use. As for my personal life, I would be so happy if I could find more freelance ways to do writing for a living – we’ll see how that one will work out!

3 Do you have any pet peeves?

Oh, I have many.. lol. I absolutely cannot stand noisy eaters and breathers, and I always get angry when people don’t put things back to their proper place in the shop when they decided not to buy them after all. That’s just two of many, I could go on for a while though 😀

4 How would you describe yourself in 5 words (or less)?

Okay, let’s see… I am a true *fangirl* at heart, a *reader*, an *artist*, a *quote-lover* and *animal-friend*

5 What was the weirdest/grossest thing you did as a child?

I was so different as a child – very adventurous, not afraid of anything! Can I please go back in time? I think one of the grossest things I did as a child was digging in our little sandbox in kindergarten for earthworms after rain, and playing with them… Ew!!! How could I??? I think I also used to collect them together with snails… uargh, gross! I hope I didn’t take them home with me, lol

And that’s it! I feel like you’ve got to know a lot more about me now!

As for the favorite post I ever did, I think it has to be my “161 Thoughts I had while Reading A Court of Mist and Fury” – it was more than a book review, a post full of all the thoughts I had while reading my favorite book ever (so far)! Even though I had to take so many notes while reading, I really enjoyed writing it! And I hope other fans of the series find themselves in it too!:)

And now onto my questions for those I nominate:

  1. Who do you look up to most, and why?
  2. How does a perfect day for you look?
  3. What is your all-time favorite memory?
  4. What is your favorite item you own, and why?
  5. And onto the weird/funny question: What do you do when no one is around or watching? Funny answers appreciated 🙂

I nominate:

Nuria from Unwrapped Dreams

Shirley from Shirley Cuypers

Holly from The Writing Finch

Mel from Mel LaBella

Tessa from Crazy for YA

Colleen Casey from Colleen’s Conclusions

Pauliina from The Bookaholic Dreamer

Luana from Bookstormgirl

Cris from The Biblio Blonde

Kayleigh from My Endless Shelf

  1. Oh I LOOOVE Christmas too! Idk why but I get super giddy excited when the Christmas theme hits the stores and Christmas lights are turned on. I also like to bake some traditional Nordic Christmas treats all-year-round just because I like the warm cozy feeling it gives me 😀
Thank you for the tag! The questions look like a loads of fun, can’t wait to get to them!

    1. Yay, Christmas time seriously is the best – I’m already looking forward to all the Christmassy reads and the decorations and the music!!! 🙂 Looking forward to read your answers! <3

  2. Aww you’re welcome – I loved this and am so happy to have learned a little more about you! I love reading you’re blog and can’t wait to see more from you! I’m with you on being annoyed by people who don’t put items back in the store – WHY DO THEY DO THAT?! I wish I could go back in time to my childhood as well – looking for and collecting earthworms and snails? Eww they’re so slimy haha. Thanks for tagging me, I loved reading this ?

    1. Thanks SO much – it was a lot of fun to answer your questions! Yeah right?!? I have no idea why some people are like that! LOOOL maybe not the earthworm part of my childhood but the rest was pretty awesome 😀 Thanks a lot for tagging me, and also for your comment! <3
