When writing a review, I reflect my emotions and thoughts during reading the book, and try to voice them in a nice to read manner. Sometimes I cannot help but need to spoiler (will mark it beforehand), but I try not to take away from your own reading experience.
My reviews are always honest and reflect my personal opinion on the book I’ve read. I never skim through books, no matter how long they are, so it depends on many things how long it will take me to review. How much I like the book and how long it is, how much work I have to do and how long my review list is, amongst other things.
It may seem obvious, but I still want to mention that I never attack a book or author personally – I always try to be as constructive as possible when voicing my opinion, especially because I know personally how much time and effort are put into the work. Since my reviews are always honest, my reviews range from 1 to 5 star ratings – all of which I explain in my review.
If you would like me to review your book, these are the genres I will accept:
- Picture books
- Middle grade: especially mystery, adventure, fantasy
- Young adult: especially contemporary, romance, fantasy
- New Adult
- Adult: especially fantasy, mystery, romance, contemporary, thriller
However, I am always trying to broaden my (reading) horizon, so I am open to new genres and styles as well. Just message me, and maybe I’ll accept your book too!
Just to be clear about this again: Since I always write honest reviews, they may or may not contain negative/critical comments about your book. I will post them in the most constructive way possible, but I have to say that I will not post a 5 star review just because I received a free copy, so please be aware of that before contacting me.
I think everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but if you wonder, I studied English Literature and am currently a PhD student, and think that the years in university have prepared me even more for this. Just an extra little detail about me 🙂
So, if you’d still like me to review your book, please use my contact form, and I will get back to you as soon as possible! Thank you. You can also dm me on Twitter if you’d like!

3 Stars: It was ok. There were some positive and some negative points.
4 Stars: I really liked the book and am so happy that I read it!
5 Stars: I loved the book so much and now I’m probably fangirling really hard!
