When writing a review, I reflect my emotions and thoughts during reading the book, and try to voice them in a nice to read manner. Sometimes I cannot help but need to spoiler (will mark it beforehand), but I try not to take away your own reading experience.
My reviews are always honest and reflect my personal opinion on the book I’ve read. I never skim through books, no matter how long they are, so it depends on how much I like the book and how long it is how long it will take me to write a review – I always try to do it in a matter of a few days though (I’ll let you know otherwise).
It may seem obvious, but I still want to mention that I never attack a book or author personally – I always try to be as constructive as possible when voicing my opinion, especially because I know personally how much time and effort are put into the work. Since my reviews are always honest (and I cannot LOVE every book I read), my reviews range from 1 to 5 star ratings – all of which I explain properly in my review.
If you would like me to review your book, these are the genres I will accept: (children’s) picture books, young adult, new adult, and adult fiction. My preferred genres include romance (particularly historical and contemporary), chick-lit, YA, fantasy, dystopia, Gothic fiction, science fiction, and realistic fiction, but I’m also open for new things, so send me your book summary and maybe I’ll accept it too!
Just to be clear about this again: Since I always write honest reviews, they may or may not contain negative/critical comments about your book. I will post them in the most constructive way possible, but I have to say that I will not post a 5 star review just because I received a free copy, so please be aware of that before contacting me.
I think everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but if you wonder, I studied literature and think that the years in university have prepared me even more for this. Just an extra little detail about me 🙂
So, if you’d still like me to review your book, please use my contact form, and I will get back to you as soon as possible! Thank you.
