Sunshine Blogger Award #2!

My dearest readers and followers, I have exciting news to share! I have been nominated AGAIN for the Sunshine Blogger Award and I honestly cannot believe it! I’ve always dreamed of meeting awesome new friends online when I would start my blog, but I never really expected it to happen – especially not so soon, and honestly, not to me! Jamie @ PrincessofPages is one of these awesome people. I’ve met her on Twitter (check out her awesome feed here) and I love fangirling with her – so thank you very much, Jamie, for nominating me! If you don’t know her blog yet, you have to check it out – right after you’ve finished reading this post of course 😉

The Sunshine Blogger Award is there to make you help learn more about those bloggers you find inspirational and supportive and you think deserve some more recognition and love. I’m really looking forward to answer the questions! Before we can start though, there are some rules to the award and the nomination:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link their blog so others can find them
  • Answer the 11 questions which the blogger who nominated you asked
  • Nominate 11 bloggers and ask them 11 different questions
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo on your site

So here we go, let’s start with answering Jamie’s questions:

  1. What is your favorite book of all time?

Wow, you do know how to start properly 😀 What a question! Ummm, I’m thinking really hard, but I honestly don’t think I can answer it… I’ve read so many books and from time to time I always had different favorites – I guess it’s always that which I’ve read most recently and loved a lot? Until I get another favorite I guess. Right now this would definitely be A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I’m still reading the third book in this series and I’m honestly in awe at how great the world-building, the characters and their relationships are. So, so good!

2. What is your favorite holiday?

This one’s easy – Christmas for sure!!! I love the whole build-up to Christmas so much that I honestly wait for it all year round. I’m already looking forward to all the crafts, decorations, books, films, and music – I cannot wait until it’s finally that time again (and for this horrible heat wave to be over, tbh)

3. Do you have an interesting hobby?

Um, not really I’m afraid… Well, I’m an artist at heart, I love everything from crafts to painting and drawing, but I’m not sure if it’s that interesting? That’s for you to decide I guess 🙂  I’ve just learned how to build little storage spaces and small shelves out of cardboard if that makes it more interesting?? Planning on sharing them with you guys soon.

4. What are your favorite movies?

Like my favorite book, this is hard to pinpoint exactly, but I’m glad you said movies *plural*, that makes it easier! I guess I have different movies I like for different moods, but most of them are rom coms I think. I love “The Back-up Plan”, “Music and Lyrics”, “Did you hear about the Morgans?”, “Under the Tuscan Sun” and “The Proposal”; one of my all-time favorites is definitely “Letters to Juliet”, and then I love basically every Christmas movie out there.

5. Do you have a go to author?

I always get excited when I see new books by Paige Toon, Sophie Kinsella, Morgan Matson, and now Sarah J. Maas.

6. What makes you happy?

What a deep question! Thankfully, there are many things that make me happy! There would be the obvious ones, like reading a good book and watching a nice movie, meeting with my friends, going shopping, having my family and friends around. Whenever I find the time and motivation to dedicate myself to a new art project – I’m happy while doing it, but looking at the finished thing is the ultimate joy. Then there are also the little things in life that make me happy – taking a walk in nature, seeing cute baby animals (or any animal, really), getting to pet a dog, getting a compliment from a friendly stranger or complimenting other people and seeing how happy it makes them, drinking a hot cup of tea on a rainy day, eating ice cream in summer and dipping your feet in the sea when it’s hot. Lately it’s made me really happy to get to know like-minded people online and discuss my favorite subject with them – books! It’s honestly bringing me so much joy and happiness, I really hope our friendships will last forever!

7. What is your favorite song?

Again such a hard one! I like very different types of music and therefore a lot of different songs. My newest favorite is Jason Mraz’s “Have it all”, but I also love his and Colbie Callait’s collab “Lucky” a lot. I basically love every song by Muse, Lenka and Meghan Trainor. A great mix 😀 There are many more though, much more than I can list here…

8. Who are some bloggers that make you smile?

Definitely you, @PrincessofPages – I love your taste in books and that you’re always there when I want to talk about them, so thank you! I always have to smile too when I read Luana’s blog @ BookStormGirl, she is just so funny, it’s hilarious! There are many more too!

9. Favorite vacation spot?

Ummm, probably somewhere I’ve never been? Though I love the beach, I don’t really like the heat that much anymore (used to love it as a kid), so I would say somewhere colder… Iceland, or Scotland maybe!

10. What is your favorite thing about having a blog?

Getting to share your opinion on the things that I love and finding like-minded people who don’t roll their eyes (I hope they don’t) even when I want to fangirl about a specific topic again (ok, let’s be honest, I mean Rhysand)! Lol

But really, finding other people who love the things I love just as much as me is probably the best feeling in the world! I’m so happy I joined the book blogging world!

11. When should we fangirl again?

Right now please!! Always – all the time! I’m always up for fangirling and since I’m a Rhysand fanatic now anyway I’m always game, just let me know and I’ll be there 😉

Thank you for these fun to answer questions! I hope you also had a little fun reading them. My 11 questions are these:

  1. What was the last book you DNF and why?
  2. What’s your favorite read of 2018 so far?
  3. If you could jump into one bookish world right now and live there forever, where would it be?
  4. Which famous person would you love to have as a friend?
  5. What is one thing you regret NOT having done in your life?
  6. What movie can you watch over and over, but never get tired of?
  7. What’s your biggest pet peeve?
  8. What is one thing that is really popular atm that annoys you?
  9. What are your goals for the rest of the year?
  10. What weather do you like the most?
  11. What is your favorite thing about having a blog?
